Dataset: NASEM Marsh Terraces RGB Mosaics Date: 2018-10-03 Dataset Abstract: This dataset consists of unmanned aerial system (UAS) imagery taken from an Altavian Nova using an EOS Rebel SL1 RGB camera near Pecan Island, LA in early October 2018. Images were taken with the goal of monitoring the efficacy of marsh terraces in helping to protect and restore coastal wetlands. Purpose: Collection of data is to provide visual representation of the study area in order to assess marsh terrace effectiveness. Data Description: Images are taken from the Altavian Nova using an EOS Rebel SL1 DSLR RGB camera. These individual images were then stitched into orthomosaics using Agisoft Metashape (then PhotoScan). The orthomosaic is in 8-bit RGB (red, green, blue) GeoTIFF format. They consist of four separate flights, comprising a northwest, northeast, southwest, and southeast quadrant. NoData values are defined by the alpha layer (Band 4). If using ArcMap, enable the "Alpha" band and set to "Band_4" for proper display.
